"Секрет" - ремейк японского триллера 1999 года - Himitsu. В его основе лежит японский роман  Keigo Higashino.
Дэвид Духовны играет в этом фильме главную роль- роль безутешного мужа (Бена), чья жена (Хелена) с дочкой попадают в автокатастрофу. Жена погибает, а дочь выживает. Но тут и начинаются странности: в тело его дочери переселяется дух жены...
Лили Тейлор играет жену главного героя, а Оливия Фирлбу (это ее дебют на большом экране) — их дочь (Сэм).

A bus crash hospitalizes half of a family, but the mother transfers her spirit into her daughter just before she passes away. Now the mother is inhabiting her daughter's body. The father/husband is naturally confused, but happy to have his wife still with him. Things become difficult however, as the husband can not consumate his relationship with his wife while she is inhabiting his daughter's body.

Duchovny Keeping The Secret
David Duchovny (The X-Files) will return to the world of the paranormal in The Secret, the latest Japanese film slated for a remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Swiss-born actor-filmmaker Vincent Perez will make his English-language directorial debut on the project, which Luc Besson (Unleashed, La Femme Nikita) is executive-producing through his Paris-based label EuropaCorp, the trade paper said. Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under, The Haunting) and newcomer Olivia Thirlby also have been cast in the film.
The Secret, based on the 1999 Japanese film Himitsu, is set against an emotional triangle among a 16-year-old girl, her mother and her father. After the mother is killed in an accident, her spirit inhabits the daughter's body, the trade paper reported. Ann Cherkis adapted the English-language screenplay. Principal photography begins this week in Montreal.

David Duchovny is to star in The Secret, a supernatural drama about a daughter possessed by her mother's ghost. X Files veteran Duchovny will play the family's father in this remake of the 1999 Japanese feature Himitsu. The director is French actor Vincent Perez, who is making his English language film debut. Luc Besson is involved in the project as executive producer through his EuropaCorp company and the script is by first-time writer Ann Cherkis.
